The small becomes big and the quiet becomes loud
For a week, I lived at my sister’s house with my nephews. I took with me a simple camera and several reels of film and invited my nephews to photograph whatever they want.
I am creating a situation where children can freely talk about what is important to them. On the one hand, I reflect on my own childhood, when I didn’t have the opportunity to talk about what really happened in the house where I grew up. On the other hand, I am interested in how children, holding a camera in their hands for the first time in their lives, can create a contrasting, expressive, beautiful photo. In this case, who becomes the author and what is the value of the image?
