Above the surface

What happens when someone else looks at me? What image of me appears in front of the lens at the moment of photographing? Is there a difference between a face and a mask? While working on the project, I’m trying to find answers to these questions.

I create portraits exploring how subjects influence each other and how the subject is affected by the photographing situation. Through creating photo objects, I turn to the materiality of photography and think about the disconnect between the surface of the image and what is depicted on it.
